In early 2010, we found ourselves in the deep blue waters of Red Sea. Throughout a week, we woke up at six o’clock every morning for diving. We are living in such a world that life places so many
responsibilities on all of us. We need to work very hard; to have a happy family life, to prosper professionally and leave a good trace behind, and to experience happiness, a feeling whose definition varies for everybody, we work very, very hard. We are exhausted, both physically and mentally… Sometimes we want to run away, seeking a calm world that would make us happy where we could get away from everything.
Sometimes we want to run away, seeking a calm world that would make us happy where we could get away from everything. We are eight lucky friends, who seek this calm but exhilarating world under the water… Therefore, we make diving trips of not shorter than a week in a different country every year, and we almost never step out of water…
In early 2010, we found ourselves in the deep blue waters of Red Sea. Throughout a week, we woke up at six o’clock every morning for diving. Flapping like a flag in sloping waters, we watched sharks; flipped swimfins in pursuit of manta rays and whale sharks; dived into schools of fish like mischievous children and watched the hunting sharks during our night dives. We spent four hours underwater every day. Why did we get up so early?
Why did we never get bored? Why did we keep thinking that this week should not end? Here in this book, we wanted to share what we witnessed in Red Sea for a week and what we learned from nature.
